Aaron Draplin Workshop Promotions
Since I am working as the Visual Communicator for the Graphic Design Club (GDC) at Spokane Falls Community college, I had the amazing opportunity to Design promotions for the Aaron Draplin Workshop that the GDC was hosting. I wanted to design something he would like, so I was able to work with Aaron and get his feedback along the way. This project was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I am very grateful for. It’s not every day Aaron Draplin tells you to stay out of Portland! Special thanks to Aaron for the several shoutouts during the event!
To show my thanks to Aaron Draplin, I created an illustration to post on my personal Instagram. This illustration was originally a concept that I proposed for the promotions themselves. It was not chosen, however, I couldn't let it go to waste! This illustration uses custom typography to create a portrait of Aaron. I've done this style of illustration before, and it’s such a blast to create in this style!
